What It Is
Moringa powder is made by drying and finely grinding the leaves of the Moringa oleifera tree, also known as the “drumstick tree.” The leaves are carefully shade-dried to preserve nutrients and then powdered. This green powder has been used for centuries as a natural food supplement due to its rich nutritional profile.
In Ayurveda, moringa is known as Shigru. It is valued for its Ushna (warming) potency and Tikta–Katu rasa (bitter and pungent taste). Traditionally, Shigru is used to balance Kapha and Vata doshas and to support digestion, metabolism, and joint health.
